Angry Birds Friends hit the market on April 26 2013 for mobile devices, and it has captured many Angry Birds players to see  what Rovio Entertainment has in stock for their mobile device.

In this new adventure, you will be able to connect with your friends on Facebook and challenge them to a classic Angry Birds slingshot game. This game was released for FREE and can be found on most mobile app gaming devices. So be sure to check it out in your local app store.

Angry Birds Friends Gameplay

The gameplay of Angry Birds Friends is similar to any other Angry Birds title in the market. One of the biggest change is that you need to have Facebook to be able to play the game now. Some players have argue that this change leaves non-Facebook users in the dark while players that love to connect their games with Facebook enjoy the idea.

To be straightforward. You cannot play the game without connecting it to Facebook. So if you are someone without an account then you probably want to look at the other Free Angry Birds game in the market or create one.

Gameplay and Style

Angry Birds Friends plays pretty similar to any other Angry Birds games out there and is focused on sling shooting birds with special powers to knock down towers with green pigs in them.

There’s many major differences in Angry Birds Friends compared to the other Angry Birds games in the market. The biggest difference would be that the game is FREE for the first time upon release and that you get to compete with your friends on the leaderboard in the game through Facebook.

You’ll also see new power ups, special abilities, and features but nothing extremely different.

Angry Birds is a great title and have been running strong for mobile devices. Angry Birds Friends is see as a “semi Angry Birds” title compared to a full fledged game. There are plenty of weekly tournaments that keeps the game interesting, and when you’re playing against your friend’s score, it makes it even more interesting.

Despite the interesting aspect of the game, it suffers from various criticisms from players for being a “Facebook” game. That’s because you need to login and connect to Facebook in order to play.

I believe the game is more geared towards younger audiences, while teens, young adults, or even older adults may find the game’s requirement to connect to Facebook unnecessary. We haven’t gotten any streams from the game from our venture into the new Angry Birds world but for those without Facebook, you may need to create an account if you really want to take a look at this title.

Bottom line: You need Facebook but it’s FREE to download in the app store of your device.
