Dream Chaser Gameplay

Dream Chaser is different from most runner games because it supports a Story Mode and an Endless Runner Mode. Players will have the option to understand the story behind the game and further develop a connection to the objective of a young hero called Nito.

STORY MODE

The object of the game in story mode is to save what is known as the Tower of Dreams and save the Gemini Spirits in order to bring peace to the realms of Gods. The main character of the game is Nito, a young night spirit who is chosen to help restore the peace. By having a story mode, this “runner” game attempts to make itself stand out. However, the dialog and depth of the story is pretty typical: evil forces take over, chaos breaks out, young hero needs to fix it. Story mode also has a built-in tutorial, unfortunately it is known to be dragged out and takes 5 separate missions to complete.

ENDLESS MODE

It seems like the norm for any runner game today to throw in an endless mode and it’s no different for Dream Chaser. If you like endless runners then Dream Chaser has you covered. You can play the story mode and enjoy understanding the game or blast through stages with this amazing mode.

CONTROLS

All of the controls of the game can easily be taught in one short tutorial.Like the typical games of this genre, players guide Nito along a map and have to tilt the screen or swipe it in order to help Nito dodge or jump over obstacles.

The main objectives in each level are to avoid obstacles, collect orbs (which can help you buy power-ups and upgrades) and collect crystals. Sometimes there will be a twist to each level. For example, players have a certain time to collect each crystal in one of the earlier levels. And sometimes, the level can become extremely challenging for players that like the challenge.

Dream Chaser Graphics

The graphics in Dream Chaser are good but again, they are not good enough to make it stand out from other similar games. The drawings for the dialogue screens are pretty colorful and vivid and the graphics are by no means blurry or hurried but what matters more in this game is how repetitive the levels really are.

Dream Chaser Sounds

The music is kind of creepy but it goes with the games.

Dream Chaser Round-up

Overall, Dream Chaser is somewhat a spooky runner game. The soundtrack in the game aligns with this because it’s probably the theme of the game from the destruction of the gods tower.

If you are a person that likes games with a more spooky theme and spirits then it’ll fit your library of games perfectly. The game does have a great mode with a  good storyline for players to play in the story mode to understand the game, which is what makes it unique from other runner games today.

Bottom line: The story mode really adds value to the game.
