Gameplay
The gameplay of Swordigo is simply amazing. When you begin the game you will notice how well it delivers the experience with the story for any scenes. Players of old traditional and new role-playing and action-RPG will get a sense that it feels like Final Fantasy and Legend of Zelda.
You will hold a traditional sword, which can be upgraded and you will gain the ability to use magic. As in all RPGs, as you progress through the game you can purchase more powerful swords that will aid you in your adventure. For magic you can gain magic as you progress the game by making them stronger when you level up.
Using the traditional sword means you can physically attack the enemy by tapping the sword attack button but keep in mind that this is a close-range attack. Players that love magic or long range attacks will find themselves using the magic attack option but using magic attacks are not that simple. Each magic attack you unleash onto your enemy cost points that are represented at the top right corner. Regardless of whatever you like using, if it is the sword or magic. You can strength both skills as you level up in the game by using skill points.
Music/Sound Track
The soundtrack for Swordigo is absolutely amazing. When you begin the game you will notice how beautifully the music has been composed. Be confident that if you are an RPG or Action adventure fan that the music will keep you playing and bring you an epical experience while you play Swordigo.
Enough said. The music is great! Excellent job!
Graphics
If you are a RPG veteran, the graphics of an RPG game is probably the second or third or maybe fourth thing you will think about before rating it. If you are not and is new to the RPG genre then Swordigo is still beautifully developed for those that haven’t tried roleplaying games.
Swordigo runs in a 2D atmosphere by going left or right and giving you the ability to jump. Fortunately, even in a 2D environment, you can make it look outstandingly beautiful with the surrounding graphics. As you continue to play Swordigo you will notice that all the enemies objects and down to statues that you walk by are in 3D textures. For a game like Swordigo it is definitely amazingly done. So if you are looking for great story telling combined with some awesome greats, Swordigo is definitely recommended for your App Library.
Overall Review
When I first began the game, I knew there was something special from the narration of the intro. As an RPG veteran, I simply loved playing this game and it is hard to put since you are always wondering what’s next in the story.
Some players may think the game is overly simplistic but that’s what makes Swordigo such a great action-RPG game. If you own a mobile device like an iPhone, iPod touch or even iPad, players love seeing the simple and easy to get to games. While Swordigo is no Final Fantasy XIII it certainly is well developed and can be easily loved as a great Action-RPG game.
They have swords, they have magic, and they have a great villain for your hero to take down with a legendary weapon. Swordigo is an absolutely amazing game that is recommended
