The Drowning Gameplay

The gameplay of The Drowning is is a stunning one. When you first begin the game you might get confused with the double tap tutorial but soon after you will be able to shoot with the controls at the bottom right corner right near the punch button.

CONTROLS

The controls for the game is simple and easy to get a hang of, there are buttons on the right hand side of the screen for physical attacks and one button to fire the gun you have. The left side of the screen is there the movement controls are and you’ll move with that side. You swipe left or right on the screen to change views.

Players with smaller screen devices may find it difficult on smaller screen but it’s perfect for tablets.

Gameplay

Much of the gameplay revolves around surviving the horror that’s happening in the world. You’ll get to experience an all out battle on offense or defense in the game.

Offense Mode is basically out in the open and ready to battle the soulless monsters and then taking them down.

Defense Mode is very similar to Call of Duty Zombies where you’ll be in a place (a house for example) and you’ll have soulless monsters trying to break in. Your duty is to take them down before they break through the barricaded windows, doors, or other openings.

Weapons

You will have access to an array of weapons and they are simply amazing. You can customize each weapon and upgrade them to become even more powerful.

The Drowning Graphics

The most stunning part of this game is probably the graphics. These graphics are top of the line and absolutely shocking from what mobile players generally expect from a mobile game.

Everything from the design, colors, and just the graphical portion will just amaze players. It’s all in 3D and we’re not talking about chunky 3D but smooth console like graphics where everything looks realistic.

The Drowning Sounds

Ohhh the spookiness of this game simple will astound the players with headphones. Imagine hearing the spooky footsteps of a soulless monster looking to creep up your back or perhaps one of them running towards you? All of the soundtracks in the game are high quality and will certain entertain players that like the horror genre.

The Drowning Round-up

The Drowning is most certainly one of the best free to play shooters out in the market today. In fact, it’s very difficult to find a quality free-to-play shooter game of this caliber for free. The most astounding aspect of this game is mostly found in it’s graphics, most players will probably agree that for an mobile game that the graphics are shockingly good.

If you’ve been looking for a FPS with stunning graphics, compelling gameplay, and a bit of horror or twist then this is definitely the game you’ve been looking for. However, if you are under 17 then you are probably restricted from picking up this app because there is intensive realistic violence in the game which may not be suitable for children.

Overall, The Drowning is just one amazing game for 2013. In fact, it’s the best FPS released so far in 2013 and will probably remain that way for the remainder of the year. The most  irrefutable part is that this game is that this game is completely free to download when it can easily go for $5+ in any app store.

Bottom line: The Best First-Person in 2013
