The Sapphire Dragon in Dragon Story is a Gemstone Dragon that was released into the game. It was discovered in January 8 2013 and was released officially into the game on January 10 2013. This dragon is a Blue type dragon only showing one element symbol.

Dragon Story: Sapphire Dragon breeding guide
The Sapphire dragon appears to be a breed-able dragon. It does not appear in the Spell Shop at the time of this writing but in the description it mentions crafting.
The Sapphire Dragon is now available for crafting in the Spell Shop. Please keep in mind you cannot breed this dragon or there is no confirmed breeding combination tested by us or players.
July 22, 2013 UPDATE: You can now breed the Sapphire Dragon using the Water Dragon and the Gemstone Dragon.
To breed the Sapphire Dragon, it is recommended you use the ___ and the __. The breeding time for this dragon is ___, so if you get a hours breeding time then you have a Sapphire dragon breeding in your isle!
With the breeding combinations in hand, keep in mind that breeding is completely up to your luck in the game and for them to give you the dragon.
The Rarity will help you understand your chances but it will ultimately be up to your game.
The breeding order of left or right in the breeding den does not matter. The Level of your breeding dragon also do not matter.
Dragon Story: Sapphire Dragon Evolution Guide
*Note Android players will need to use the temple at level 4!
The Dragon Story Sapphire Dragon will have four forms. He will evolve into his second form at level 4. Once you have leveled him to level 6 you will need to use the evolution temple where you will need to further evolve him for the other evolution.
At level 9 you will evolve your creature into its most powerful and final form called Epic.
Egg – The egg is what is revealed to the players after they have completed the breeding process. You may place this egg into a Nest for hatching.
Baby – The baby form is hatched from the egg and is the youngest form of the entire evolution process.
Teen – Teen is the evolved form of your baby creature. You can evolve your dragon at level 4 without using the evolution chamber on Apple devices, while on Android you must use the evolution chamber. You will be able to breed after they have reached level 4.
Adult – The adult stage is a almost full grown dragon in Dragon Story. You can evolve your dragons at the end of level 6 where he will need to use the evolution chamber to become an adult.
Epic – The epic form is the final and most powerful form of them all. Embodied with powers of their representing elemental colors, the epic form is filled with great design and represents the full grown evolution of your dragon. You can evolve your Adult Dragon into Epic Dragon at level 9.

ummmmmm… not their best dragon but I just hope they make it easier to get the gemstone dragons right now it is super hard at least for me ! also whats with the baby form it looks funny!!!!!! lol teeheeteehee
How to get spell shop?
Hiiya just would like to say I got the gemstone dragon when I was trying to breed an island dragon with blue and green on the first go so if that doesn’t work just keept trying and you will eventually breed one!! Enjoy

It all depends on dragons you already have like three element you get more gems
Etc etc i find it even more difficult to evolve the dragons ! 5000 at lvl 9 that’s like what 25,000 to lvl to epic I thought 1000 was fair which would be 5,000 to lvl to epic . I really do enjoy this game though

In mine it pops up every time I log in, however only for purchase. It is not in my craft shop either. Just Ruby and Emerald. Maybe you have to get one or the other first before the Sapphire becomes an option? No clue…
I have both the emerald and ruby dragon and it isn’t in my game yet either. So it can’t be that. 🙂
Nah, that can’t be it either. I already have both the Ruby and Emerald dragons, but no option for the Saphire one in my spell shop either. Only the pop-up that allows to purchase it. Not sure why they’d introduce it and yet nobody can craft one yet. =/

The Saphire dragon is in my spell shop and I’m making it too, are you guyss using android? I think they said that android’s updates are later than IPhone
My daughter was able to find it in her craft shop first day. Now, Jan 27, it still isn’t available in my craft shop. Grr. She is using iPad, I am using iPhone, syncing to same computer. However, neither of us was able to get a craft shop or trading post until a few weeks after they first appeared. And my mother, using an iPad (also synched to the same computer), was able to get one right away, so I suppose it will happen. And I hope they’ll come up with a pearl and a topaz craft dragon soon since I have a plethora of them!

Why is there only a select number of people that can get this sapphire dragon? I have an iPhone and get all the updates abd haven’t had any problems til this sapphire dragon came out. I c a few people with the dragon already and they said they’ve gotten it through the spell shop but I still don’t see that dragon.

So I just realized that I can craft the sapphire dragon on my iPad mini. But not on my iPhone 4S or my iPad 3. So I figured they just haven’t made it available to everyone yet. I believe they do a beta type something or other where they send it out to random people, and I think is how some people w/iPhone and such already have access to the Saphire dragon. That’s just based on what I’ve read on the forum posts. Here is the link to forum page:

I wonder if you could rarely breed it by mixing a diamond with a blue… That sounds most likely.
I cannot find the sapphire dragon in my craft shop only to buy.
This dragon is NOT in my spell shop yet. My sister in law actually plays the game as well and started well after me. And she already has the sapphire dragon in her spell shop. I’m not quite sure why some people have it and some don’t. They need to fix this! I want to start crafting it already!

This was available in my spell shop since release and I’ve been collecting gems to craft it. Then, a couple of days ago, it just disapperead from the spell shop. It’s weird since I still have an island goal to craft this dragon. Anybody else have this problem?
