The Bloom Dragon in DragonVale is an special event dragon that was available April 2nd 2012. This dragon is better known as the Easter Dragon from fans expecting a new dragon during Easter. This dragon has a mystical array of colors that makes this bloom dragon simply unique in your DragonVale Park. The bloom dragon is a tri-element that can be placed on any of the three bloom dragon element habitats, which are plant, cold, and lightning. If you want to sell the dragon it can get you about 100,000 dragon cash but will cost you nearly 700 gems to purchase the bloom dragon in the market.

The breeding method for the bloom dragon is recommended the use of any plant, cold, and lightning elements that will satisfy the bloom dragon’s elemental status. Players have found to breed the bloom dragon you would use the plant dragon along side with the storm dragon in the epic breeding island or breeding cave to help you breed the bloom dragon. The loom dragon has about 13 hours breeding and hatching time so it’s best for you to spend some gems to speed up the bloom dragon if you want to see the bloom dragon immediately.

The bloom dragon is found roaming the Cadberry Meadows near the beginning of Spring. These dragons have been known to hide their ornate eggs in some unusual places to protect them from Spring-time showers. Unfortunately it seems to have had the opposite effect because children have made a game out of finding them! – Description

Bloom Dragon Breeding Guide

It is suggested that you use the plant dragon and the storm dragon in the breeding island for maximum effect.

The bloom dragon is also known to be more difficult to breed than what we have seen so far so it may take a couple of tries before you can actually breed one. Here is a breeding video for the bloom dragon.

Remember that the bloom dragon is 13 hours and that if you get a 48 hours dragon it can be a sun or a moon depending on your device time. Why does it breed a moon or sun dragon? To breed a sun or moon dragon it requires a lightning or cold dragon and since the bloom dragon is tri-element, the moon/sun dragon cannot be avoided if not successful but those are quite some rare dragons as well!

I’m not sure if this really has anything to do with it but, like this video shows…it seems you breed the Storm and Plant dragon. I selected them in that order and never got the Bloom dragon (Several Tries). As soon as I selected the Plant dragon first then the Storm dragon second when breeding, IT WORKED!

hey its me i finally got bloom but i want another(its still incubating) but im trying storm and plant (it worked with that combo)but after i get it should i try to do bloom and cactus or bloom and lichen or bloom and storm or bloom and one of its base element

  The other dragon bred by the bloom dragon are really just the same elements. It hasn’t been proven yet but you can try bloom with a base element and if it doesn’t work then swap for another. Your best bet would be keeping with one combination then swapping left and right sides (it doesn’t really matter) but its believed to refresh the breedings or something. I mentioned in the post below that it is guessed that the bloom dragon will be here until may 6th because they said the dragon is here for Easter and Spring but the findings are more than just the ad.

I bred lvl 10 lichen and lvl 10 storm an got a bloom. Tried several times but only got one.. Got THREE sun dragons though while combining plant lvl 10 and storm lvl 10 in normal breeding cave.. :)))! And loads of cactus and storm dragons also..

i used a plant and a storm dragon just now, and incubation time is 2 days D: rainbow possibly? (i thought rainbow dragons needed at least 4 elements!

I tried storm (youthed) and plant both level ten and it gave me bloom. I did both adults (non-youthed) and I got 48 hrs. Can you tell me which dragon it will be? (sun, moon, or rainbow)

Plant left, storm right…storm left, plant right…all level 10 dragons…EPI and cave . Never once worked for me. At least 10 tries unsuccessful. Storm left, lichen right regular breeding cave worked twice. I just don’t get it. Couldn’t get anything but a cactus or another storm out of plant/storm combos. Not a mon, not a sun, not a rainbow. Just cactus ans storm.
