The Pillar of Prophecy in DragonVale is a decoration released along with the Solstice Dragon (or other special dragon) for the event. It is a limited time decoration that looks like a dragon. The developers have hinted that something special will happen on 12/21/2012 with the price.
The decoration will not improve your breeding chances or make a difference to how you breed the Solstice Dragon. This is purely for you to decorate your island. You can easily purchase more of the Pillar of Prophecy through it’s buy button at the bottom after you have purchased one.
