Fightback Review

Fightback is an action fighting mobile game sold by Chillingo Ltd and developed by Ninja Theory. You are the main character of this game where your sister has just been captured by thugs and your job is to find her and free her from the culprits that have captured her.

Fightback Gameplay

The gameplay for Fightback is simple, your key objective is to punch, kick, or shoot your enemies and get past the stages in the game. Many of the stages for this title is short, so don’t expect that you’ll have too long of a battle. However, they are action packed and will definitely satisfy the average player seeking action.

For the most part of the game, you will be just tapping, swiping or using your weapons to attack. You cannot actually “move” in the game so after you’ve beaten an enemy the computer will move you to the next stage.

Actions/Controls

There are a couple of main actions you can do in the game. However, you cannot move and it’s automated by the computer.

• Punch – Tap the left side of the screen to punch left, tap the right side of the screen to punch right.
• Kick – Swipe the screen left or right to kick the enemy.
• Upper and Lower Attacks – Swipe to upper/lower left or right to attack sideways.
• Shoot – There is an icon for you to use your guns for shooting.

Upgrades and other goodies

There are tons of upgrades in the game from physical defense and attacks to the stuff you wear. You can also upgrade your gun and have some really nice shooter weapons in the game and on top of that, you get to customize them then upgrade them too.

Fightback Graphics

The graphics in this game is well designed. You will notice a lot of detail in the character when you are gearing him up or watching close-up scenes. You probably won’t notice the graphics that much when in battle but when you do get close up with customizing your weapons and characters, they look amazing.

There is also blood in this game and they’re pretty realistic with the blood stains from your battles.

Fightback Sounds

The music in the game is exciting and the found effects are even more exciting! When you punch or kick your enemies you can expect some really exciting sounds that follows those fast punches you’re throwing. In a nutshell the music is good.

Fightback Round-up

Fightback is an addictive game for players that enjoy action and fighting games. The controls for the game are extremely simple and easy to learn, and most mobile players will be immersed into the game without trying to figure out too much. One of the problems with the controls though is that you’d probably wish you had controls of moving the character left or right during battles because it might get annoying waiting for the enemy to get close.

Many aspect of the game revolves from moving from “Floor to Floor” so the battles may appear to be similar but you might have different enemies and bosses to fight. There are also timers on certain stages where if you do not beat those thus in a certain amount of time, you’ll lose.

Overall Fightback is an addictive game for players that like to see more action than strategy. The customization is simply amazing and there is just so much to collect and customize for your character to make him the coolest fighter on the block. The shooting aspect of the game doesn’t feel too thrilling though because you don’t really shoot yourself and all you do is tap then tap again to aim, and everything else is handled by the computer.

Despite that, having the ability to collect special shooter weapons is certainly a plus! And the coolest part is you get to customize that baby down to the skin design of the gun!

Bottom line: Amazing Action packed game for your mobile device!
