Gnome Village Gameplay
The gameplay for this game is very similar to any casual building app, and allows you to build your very own special village. However, that’s not all! Buildings cool, villages is not the only thing you do in Gnome Village.
One of the best things about this app is what we call “exploration adventures”. You begin in a small forest area where you will slowly expand and uncover new. Each area may have something special hidden behind the expansion such as new friends, or perhaps an Mushroom to finish a quest. This is most certainly the promising aspect of Gnome Village.
Aside from just exploring new areas, each new area will allow you to build and decorate the area using “buildings” or “Decorations” found in the game. This will allow you to customize your village and there is even animals for you to add to your village.
Gnome Village Graphics
The graphics for this Walt Disney app takes a cartoon-style design. Many of the illustration uses a calm but mysterious shade of colors that help build the mysteries of exploring the Gnome Village app world.
As you can see from the images above, the coloring of the characters are similar to water-paint or American traditional cartoons.
Gnome Village Sounds
The music for Gnome Village is probably described using the word “mysterious”. This is because it helps enhance the players adventurous sense to explore the area and uncover mysteries in Gnome Village.
All the sound effects in Gnome Village are well developed and in place as to where it should be.
Gnome Village Round-up
Gnome Village is an app game that makes player simply want to continue to explore the world of the game. Its unique “explore to find lost friends/creatures” is simply a step up from normal builder games where you would just build and have creatures join your Village or Park.
The down part about Gnome Village is that there unmistakable issues with controls for the game. The zoom feature is not as smooth as it should be on some older devices like iPhone 4. The Cancel and Accept buttons for building structures or decorations are also a tad too close to each other where there may be some issues.
We were trying to tap on the accept button for the longest time but it simply moved the item over to the next portion which is frustrating. However, when we restarted the game it was fine but the buttons are definitely too close to each other.
If you love builder games and want to add a new game to your app game library then this Gnome Village is definitely a pick up. You get to explore the forest and unlock friends that will help you on your journey to rebuild your very own Gnome Village.
Bottom line: More than just the average builder app game, allows you to explore areas to unlock new team members to grow your very own Gnome Village.
