Solstice Arena is a game by Zynga, Inc. It is a free-to-play MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game available on Apple devices as a free download. The latest version is not supported on 4^th generation iPod Touch devices and you must have iOS 5 or later to play.

Solstice Arena is truly a remarkable game, especially for a free MOBA game. Between its fun and addicting gameplay and its beautiful graphics, this game will definitely become a legacy. Play on a team with other live players or play solo against bots. Whichever you choose, Solstice Arena will surely not disappoint.

Solstice Arena Gameplay

The object of the game is to work with your team to overtake the other team’s three towers, including the main Oracle Tower. Teams compete together on a simply designed map and start on opposite sides. Not only can the characters attack each other but so can the towers, which makes the game especially challenging. Another challenging aspect in the game is the treasure chest that appears in the center of the map every so often, which awards 100 gold to whichever player captures it. Players can choose from 11 characters to play as.

Abilities

Each character has different abilities including an original attack that is unique to each character. In addition to each characters attacks there are also various power-ups that players can use to strengthen their characters even more. Each power-up will work differently with each character. For example, fighters will benefit the most from Earth-related items.

In-Game Communications

Unlike many MOBA games, there is no chat box function. However, there is an alert button that players can use to communicate to their team whether to defend, attack, and heal. There are three different ways to play Solstice Arena.

Game Modes

Players can choose from single player mode with bots, co-op with bots, or online multiplayer. Players should not be fooled by the bots option: although they are powered by artificial intelligence, they are indeed very smart and will prove to be a challenge. The controls of the game are simple and make the game very easy to learn.

Beginners and experienced MOBA gamers will both appreciate the ease of controls.

The graphics in Solstice Arena are truly breathtaking and remarkable. Out of all of the mobile games I have played, these graphics are definitely top-notch. They are sharp, clear, and visually appealing.

They aim to give this game the “World of Warcraft” feel. Players will  be amazed as they watch their game on the screen of their devices throughout gameplay. There is no doubt that Zynga put a lot of resources into the graphics of this game.

There is absolutely everything to this mobile game. Even full-fledged voice acting reading you the dialogues and explaining the gameplay to exciting soundtracks for you to enjoy the game.
