Fish Party Online Review

At Gameteep, we’ve seen many apps and games go through the list on the App Store but Fish Party Online is definitely a game you wouldn’t want to miss. It’s online experience is simply spectacular and you can play with up to 8 friends or players online! That’s right, it’s like an all out party online.

That being said, it’s not an MMORPG style game, but something very unique. You start off with a normal fish where you can decorate your fish from head to toe. If you’ve played “Maple Story” on a PC then you’ll know you have the Head, Face, Body, Tail and even an all out suit that you can decorate your fish(s) with. This is just one impressive game that will have you addicted to its simple yet competitive gameplay.

Fish Party Online Gameplay

There are multiple modes in Fish Party Online and each gameplay objective is different from the other. However, you are still using your fish to gobble things against other players.

First, there are four modes currently and each mode has their own set of games.  The four modes are Training, One Player, Two Players, and Match Game. We’re not going to discuss each mode because they are self-explanatory. However, the Match mode is the online one where you can enter the lobby and meet other players.

Our favorite modes are the Match Game’s Eat Small Fish and Steal Eggs. Why? It’s because they are fun to play and you get to compete with other people you may know or online.

Eat Small Fish
The Eat Small Fish mode is essentially eating smaller fish in the sea but know that your competitor may grow bigger than you and you would need to steer clear from them.

Steal Eggs
Steal Eggs mode is similar to capture the flag, you need to go to the opponent’s side and retrieve their egg and try to return to your nest. Of course your friends may be trying to ambush you at the next exit to get their egg back.

We only explained these two modes but there are much more and even one similar to Pac-Man. It’s hard to say what future update modes they may add but lets hope they add more.

Fish Party Online Graphics

The graphics in the game are crisp and colorful. It captures the imagination of players from all ages and the best thing is its 3D.

One of the most compelling things about the graphics are the set of clothing & accessories you can purchase for your fish. Each style is uniquely designed and will surely make players want to compete against each other for better items. Just check out our fish.

Fish Party Online Sounds

The sound effects and music in the game are well composed and adds to the excitement of playing the game. We the sound effects and soundtrack works perfectly together, so it is quite satisfying playing the game.

Fish Party Online Round-up

Fish Party Online is probably going to be one of our team’s most played games online together. We’ve played MMORPGs online together but those tend to be restrictive and takes quite a while to complete a quest. Fish Party Online is the perfect fit for a quick challenge against each other because there are so many modes and each modes are generally 5-10 minutes.

We did find some points in the game that holds it back from some players. The most important point is that those accessories, decorations, suits, or gear for your fish that we win or obtain through our gameplay expires!  That is probably the biggest down point for most players because their hard earned or won in “lotto” bunny ears for their fish will expire.  The developer has informed us that the items purchased will not expire. This is not for limited specials but from what we see, they are for each accessory in the game. The last downer is the energy points to play match games. If you are constantly playing then you’ll run out of energy to play in Match Games and may need to purchase more to play or wait.

That being said, there are still a number of great fish to collect and they don’t seem to expire like the accessories. The gameplay also makes the game one of the most innovative and addictive games in the App Store today.

*Quick note* For Android players, you can change between iOS devices and Android devices with your account! The Android version (Nexus 7) doesn’t play as well as the one on the New iPad.
