Nimble Quest Gameplay
Nimble Quest has proven itself to be a very interesting game. It literally combines the classic game of Snake with modern sprites and fighting monsters. The point of each stage is to build your “body” of heroes and defeat enough monsters on the level without breaking up your line. You will have a game over by walking into the wall, a solid object, or an enemy.
You begin each stage by selecting a starting hero. Each hero has a different ability. One will use a sword, one will shoot a bow and the other will throw fire. As you defeat enemies throughout each stage you will be able to group together more heroes and form your the body of your line.
As more heroes join your line more enemies will come after you, making the game very challenging. All you can do is lead the group around by swiping in the direction that you want them to go. By killing enemies you will be able to collect jewels and other power-ups.
The levels consist of a forest, a graveyard, a sewer, a courtyard, and a castle. There are two versions of each level as you play through the game. One challenging aspect of this game is that if you die on the graveyard level for example you will have to go all the way back to the forest level and work your way through again unless you want to pay a token to replay the board.
If you pay a token to replay the board and you die again you will have to pay double the amount of tokens and so on. This aspect of the game will drive many gamers crazy and cause them to quickly become warped by the game.
Nimble Quest Graphics
The graphics of Nimble Quest are a far step ahead of the graphics of the original Snake game, which are the most simple graphics of any game. Nimble Quest, however, literally borrows the color scheme and sprite maps of the Pokemon game series for Gameboy Advanced systems and up.
Nimble Quest Sounds
The music also goes very well with the game, giving off a medieval theme. The music is very similar to the Pokemon-style sprites. When the game first loaded I originally thought that the graphics were going to be Super Nintendo quality. However, I was pleasantly surprised and appreciated the homage to Pokemon.
Nimble Quest Round-up
Overall, Nimble Quest is a very well-developed game in both the gameplay, graphics, and overall originality. No gamer would have ever thought that they would see a spin off of Snake made until now. If you are looking for a way to kill time then give Nimble Quest a shot. You will find yourself leaving it in your library when you are looking to make space.
Bottom line: One of the most addicting games in the market.
